Obituary
Memorial service for John Paul Morton, 47, of Lufkin, will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Chapel in Huntington, with Pastor Keith Stanley officiating.
Mr. Morton was born June 14, 1975, in Angelina County, Texas, to Linda (Morton) Allred and was the stepson to the late Rubin Allred, and died Friday, November 11, 2022, in Lufkin.
John was an excellent mechanic. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and anything outdoors. He loved his pets and collecting cars and anything mechanical. He dearly loved his family and was always dependable and respectful.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Misti Morton of Lufkin, TX; son Caleb Morton of Lufkin, TX; daughter, Abagail Morton of Lufkin, TX; son, Thomas Morton of Lufkin, TX; mother, Linda Allred of Lufkin, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Chris Davis of Diboll, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Benjamin and Ruth Allred of Crowley, TX; uncle, Ronald Morton; aunt, Dianne Lamon; aunt, Carolyn McRae; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Thomas and Bobbie Jean Morton; stepdad, Rubin Allred; uncle, Jimmy Morton; and niece Serenity Allred.
