Funeral services for Jose Luis Constante, 67, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas with Bishop M. E. Lyons officiating.

          Mr. Constante was born on September 4, 1958, in Raymondville, Texas,  to the late Flumencio Constante, Sr. and the late Juanita (Guadiana) Constante, and died Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Lufkin.

            He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns, and he was an avid coin collector. Above all, he had tremendous love for his family. 

          Jose is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Bryan Galloway of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Tiffany Constante of Diboll; granddaughter, Zoey Galloway of Lufkin; granddaughter, Trinity Galloway of Lufkin; granddaughter, Laney Galloway of Lufkin; grandson, Aden Constante of Diboll; grandson, J.J. Constante of Diboll; great-granddaughter, Paislee McKenzie; sister, Mary Jane Constante of Diboll; brother, Fluencio Constante, Jr. of Lufkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

           Mr. Constante was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Freddy Acosta and Lupe Acosta; and sisters, Irma Sarmiento and Lydia Medina.
