Joyce (Albritton) Crain

         Graveside services for Joyce (Albritton) Crain, 85, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Berry Cemetery in Lufkin with Jimmy Runnels officiating.

         Joyce (Albritton) Crain was born on January 18, 1939, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late James Dixon Albritton and Charlsie Emma (Haley) Albritton, and died Monday, January 13, 2025, at her residence.

          Mrs. Crain was a Jehovah’s Witness and was devoted to her faith. She loved to cook and was amazing at it. It was her passion to feed everyone. Mrs. Crain loved her family very much.

          She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Lynda Crain of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, John and Linda Crain of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Jarod and Laura Crain of Cypress, TX; grandson and wife, Christopher and Easton Crain of Waco, TX; grandson and wife, Kevin and Carol Lawrence of Lufkin; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Crain of Cypress; great-granddaughter, Haley Crain; great-grandson, Reid Crain of Cypress; sister, Dorothy Hearne of Corrigan; niece, Deidra Heaton of Lufkin; niece, Anna Blocker of Lufkin; nephew, Bud Heaton of Pollok; nephew and wife, Mark and Lisa Ward of Lufkin; nephew, Mike Free of Lufkin; niece and husband, Lawana and David Gernannt of Corrigan; nephew and wife, Robert and Tara Hearne of Orange, TX; niece, Jessica Bratt; niece, Christina Albritton; nephew, Daniel Ward; and sister-in-law, Maryann Albritton.

           Mrs. Crain was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James R. Crain; sons, Jimmy Lee Crain, and Billy Jack Crain; granddaughter, Jennifer Crain; sisters, Evelyn Free, Charlene Sharp, Betty Craig, and Patricia Williams; and brothers, Jerry Albritton and Gene Albritton.

          Pallbearers will be Daniel Ward, Jarod Crain, Bud Heaton, Mark Ward, Mike Free, and Christopher Crain.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Hearne and Kevin Lawrence.
