Funeral services for Juan Miguel Anaya-Olivares, 60, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lufkin. Interment will follow at Gann Cemetery.
Mr. Anaya-Olivares was born May 13, 1960 in Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Jesus Anaya and Thomasa Olivares, and died Sunday, November 1, 2020 in Lufkin.
Mr. Anaya-Olivares loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed riding in the car playing loud music. Mr. Anaya-Olivares loved to help others and made a friend everywhere that he went.
He is survived by his daughters, Yesenia Anaya, Nereyda Anaya, Aracely Anaya, Alejandra Anaya, and Jacqueline Anaya; grandchildren, David Rios, Giovanni Guevara, Orlando Diaz, Angel Holguin, Alonzo Diaz, Alfredo Ezequiel Orta, Yolanda Diaz, Judith Rios, Jazlyn Holguin, Jimena Orta, Eliana Aguirre, and Melanie Aguierre; father, Jesus Anaya; stepbrothers, Juan Anaya and Jesus Anaya; stepsisters, Maria Del Refugion Anaya, Martha Elva Anaya, Felicitas Anaya, Amparo Anaya, and Maricela Anaya; along with numerous other relatives.
Mr. Anaya-Oliveres was preceded in death by his mother, Thomasa Olivares; and stepbrother, Alberto Anaya.
Pallbearers will be David Rios, Angel Orta, Alfredo Orta, Gabriel Aguierre, Antonio Guevara, Agustin Chacon, Armando Chacon, and Carlos Chacon.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
