Judy Shatwell Andreakos Obituary

          Mrs. Judy (Shatwell) Andreakos was born on July 9, 1940, in Elgin, Illinois, to the late Clarence Lyon and the late Evelyn (Hansen) Lyon, and died Monday, March 16, 2026, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

          Judy was a secretary by trade and held that position at her church as well. She loved singing in the church choir and played both clarinet and the organ. As a teenager, she was a member of the Barington High School marching band. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, sewing, and styling her looks with jewelry. She was a talented baker of sweet treats, especially banana bread and green pancakes on St. Patrick’s Day. She cultivated loving and connected relationships with her siblings and the three of them talked to each other daily. Judy was a devoted mother and grandmother who deeply loved and cared for her children and grandchildren.

         She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Shatwell Stiff and husband, Tom, of New Braunfels; son, Rick Shatwell of Nacogdoches; grandson, Thomas Shatwell of Nacogdoches; grandson, Stephen Shatwell of Nacogdoches; grandson, Aaron Shatwell of Nacogdoches; granddaughter, Savannah Shatwell of Nacogdoches; grandson, Nicholas Shatwell of Nacogdoches; grandson, Daniel Stiff of New Braunfels; granddaughter, Caroline Stiff of New Braunfels; sister, Betty Riek of Safety Harbor, Florida; brother, Richard Lyon of McHenry, Illinois; and nieces and nephews.

         She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Andreakos.

         Memorial services may be held at a later date.
