Judy Waller Johnson

          Funeral services for Judy Waller Johnson, 76, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Garden of Memories Memorial Park Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Kevin Poage officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Memorial Park Cemetery.

          Mrs. Johnson was born on April 25, 1949, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Jessie J. Waller  and Ruby (Summers) Waller, and died Thursday, July 31, 2025, in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Johnson was a devoted member of Clawson Assembly of God, where her love for God made her a true prayer warrior. She attended Lufkin High School, Lufkin Beauty College, and Angelina College. She worked in physical therapy at Memorial Hospital, where she cared for others with compassion. Mrs. Johnson also worked with her husband, Ray Johnson, in their family plumbing business. She found joy in fishing, camping, traveling, going on cruises, baking, and tending to her yard. Above all, she loved her family and friends, always striving to bring happiness to those around her.

           She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Shalana Hyde of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Mickey and Tracie Johnson of Wells, TX; grandson and wife, Weston and Sophie Hyde of South Carolina; grandson Hayden Hyde; granddaughter and husband, Brooke and Brandon Linville of Lufkin; granddaughter, Blyss Johnson; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Joyce Waller; and numerous nieces and nephews.   

         She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Johnson; parents; and brothers Delbert and Hubert Waller.

         Pallbearers will be Scott Waller, Kevin Strickland, Mickey Johnson, Hayden Hyde, Weston Hyde, and Shane Waller.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Waller, Norris Nelson, and Timmy Skinner.

          Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, at Garden of Memories Memorial Park Chapel.
