Karen Peterson

           A Celebration of Life for Karen Peterson, 72, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Crown Colony Country Club in Lufkin.

          Karen was born on April 8, 1952, in Crocket, Texas, to the late Herbert V. Woods and Frances (Nichols) Woods, and died Friday, August 9, 2024, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

          Karen was a member of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church in Lufkin. She was proud to have a degree in graphic design. Karen loved her job of 13 years at Crown Colony Country Club, where she was the first smiling face you encountered. She loved her family very much and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

           Karen is survived by her sister, Amber Ellison and husband Randy of Rosevine, TX; sister, Cindi Caston and husband Ronny of San Augustine, TX; sister-in-law, Sheila Woods of Lufkin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronnie L. Peterson; and brother, Vince Woods.
