Funeral services for Karen Lea Ivey, 49, of Diboll, will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Promise Land Baptist Church in Lufkin with Pastor Trey Thompson and Bro. Myrton Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Bennett Cemetery in Groveton, Texas.

          Karen Lea Ivey went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 12, 2026. She was born July 27, 1976, in Lufkin, Texas, to Carrol Ivey and Verma (Kee) Ivey. She had lived in Diboll all of her life. Karen graduated from Diboll High School in 1995. She loved the Lord, her family, and her church with all her heart. Karen enjoyed making crafts and sharing them with others. She was always cheerful and had an outgoing personality. Karen had encountered several health issues in the last few years. She was a beloved daughter and a cherished aunt to her great nieces and nephews.

          Karen is survived by her devoted mother, Verma Ivey; her beloved, Bobby Alderman; sister-in-law, Gena Ivey; nieces, April Witherell, Samantha Ivey, and Amber Ivey Montes; aunt, Betty Kee; and special friends, B.J. Brewer and Jeanette Brewer, and Granny and Papa Freeman.

          She was preceded in death by her father, Carrol Ivey; brother, Scott Ivey; uncles, J.D. Kee and Billy Kee; aunts, Ella Mae Kee and Elizabeth Mayo; and uncle, Bennie Mayo.

          Pallbearers will be Brady Wetherell, B.J. Brewer, Keith Alderman, Daniel Kee, James Price, and V. Wayne Evans.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Rogers and Freeman Thompson.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2026, at Promise Land Baptist Church.
