Mrs. Kathryn “Dian” Davis, 83, of Lufkin, was born on October 4, 1942, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Marvin Dias and the late Mildred (Mathis) Dias, and died Thursday, August 27, 2026, in Lufkin. A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Davis will be held at a later date.

           Dian loved her family deeply and was a caring and devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She was famous in her circle as the “BEST” cook ever! She loved animals and found peace watching and caring for the hummingbirds and squirrels in her yard. Dian worked as a bank teller for many years, where she did far more than process transactions; she turned a routine errand into a highlight of the day for many in our community. Mrs. Davis was married to the love of her life, husband, Ronnie Davis, for 59 years. She will be dearly missed.

           She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Jennifer Davis; son, David Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Jerry Peek; grandchildren, Sommer Huffman and husband, Josh; Joshua Davis and Brittny; Alexandria Bridges and husband, Leon; Bethany Davis; Derek Peek and Cassidy; and Zachary Davis; great-grandchildren, Kourtney, Schuyler, Harper, Lydia, Hadlee, Jaxon, Lyssa, Finley, and Lainey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Affinity Healthcare of Lufkin.

           She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronnie Davis; and sister, Carolyn Smith.
