Lee O. Simms

         Graveside services for Lee O. Simms, 84, of Pollok, will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Gann Cemetery in Pollok with Bro. Keith Bickley officiating.

         Mr. Simms was born on January 26, 1939, in Cherokee County, Texas, to the late John Melvin Simms and Nora (McClain) Simms, and died Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Lufkin.

         Mr. Simms was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved animals, especially his cows. Mr. Simms enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and traveling.

         Mr. Simms is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon Simms of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Scott Williford of Pollok; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Dawn Simms of Elysian Fields, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Mark Guerrero of Lufkin; granddaughter, Dallas Williford and Riley Oates of Pollok; grandson, Andrew Simms of Elysian Fields, TX; granddaughters, Mackenzie Simms and Libby Simms, both of Elysian Fields, TX; granddaughters, Alex Guerrero and Macayle Guerrero, both of Lufkin; great-grandson, Kagen Landrum of Pollok; great-granddaughter, Piper Oates of Pollok; and brother, Jimmie Simms of Nacogdoches, TX.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Lee Simms; brothers, Harold Simms and Thomas Melvin Simms; and sister, Theressa Waltz and Ossie Viress Simms.

          Special friends will be Kevin Adams, Starlan Glawson, JC Crawford, Royce Oliver, Roy Cates, Ben O’Quinn, Ricky Allen, and David Williford.
