A service to celebrate the life of Leonard H. Hidrogo, 72, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, October 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Emanuel Assembly of God in Lufkin, Texas with Rev. Sonia Bermudez officiating. Graveside services will follow at Garden of Memories located at 5205 S First St, Lufkin, Texas 75901.
Leonard was born on February 23, 1951, in Wheelock, Texas to the late Samuel Hidrogo and Juanita Hernandez Hidrogo, and went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, with his family by his side in Lufkin.
Leonard graduated from Franklin High School. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was a very hard worker and was employed with RR Donnelly for 45 years. He enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the Houston Astros and the Texas Longhorns. He also devoted his free time to sharing his love of sports with his children. He was a member of Emanuel Assembly of God church. He especially loved his church family and the fellowship he shared with them.
He is survived by his wife, Stella Hidrogo of Lufkin; daughter, Anna Hidrogo of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law Gabriel and LaShanda Hidrogo; son and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Amber Hidrogo; granddaughters, Amber and husband Robert Howard, Britney Hidrogo, Maia Hidrogo, Ariyan Hidrogo, Gabriana Hidrogo, and Adriana Hidrogo; grandsons, Jayce Hidrogo and Gavyn Miller; great granddaughters, Saiya Howard, Lanaiya Howard, Avaya Howard, Jalanie Elise, and Jalyn Marie; great grandson Ja'Kai Howard; brothers Carlos Hidrogo of Riesel, Texas, Jesse Hidrogo of Burleson, Joe Hidrogo and wife Dalia of Franklin; sisters Carmen Miranda and husband Johnny of Bryan, Mary Narro and husband Andrew of Franklin, April Edwards of Franklin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Hidrogo and Juanita Hernandez Hidrogo; and brothers, Vicente Hidrogo, Louis Hidrogo, grandsons Christian Hidrogo, and Jayden Hidrogo.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Hernandez, Joshua Hernandez, Brandon Natal, Richard Narro, Richard Narro Jr, and Andrew Narro, Joshua Padilla
Honorary pallbearers will be Jayce Hidrogo and Gavyn Miller.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Celebration Service, Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Emanuel Assembly of God in Lufkin.
