Leroy Otto Hollister Obituary

          A service and inurnment for Mr. Leroy Otto Hollister will take place at the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.


         Mr. Hollister was born on June 17, 1950, in Houston, Texas, to the late Claude Douglas Hollister and the late Hermine (Gotschhofer) Hollister, and died Sunday, May 10, 2026, in Huntington.


          Leroy served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home from Vietnam, Leroy worked as a carpenter and later became a mechanic. 


          Leroy is survived by his daughter, Teresa Cochran and husband, Randy of Houston, daughter, Kimberly Hollister of Brenham, Texas; stepson, Eric Rushing of Livingston, Texas; stepdaughter, Rhonda Ebert of Marlin, Texas; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Claude, Hollister, Jr. and wife, Elaine of Mart, Texas; brother, Kenneth Hollister and wife, Glenda of Palestine, Texas; Danny Hollister and wife, Melody of Kennard, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.


          Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frederick Michael Hollister; sister, Nancy Ann Davenport; and wife, Sharon Ann Hollister.
