Lewis "Lew" Alonzo Torres

          Funeral services for Lewis “Lew” Alonzo Torres, 19, of Diboll, will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Reverend Marcos Elizondo officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Haven Cemetery.

            Lewis was born on June 7, 2006, in Lufkin, Texas, to Gonzalo Alonso Torres and Celia (Ramirez) Aguilar, and died Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Diboll.

          Lewis was of the Christian faith. He was a very respectful young man who was loved by everyone. Lewis was always surrounded by friends and loved to make people laugh. He was a protector of his family and friends. Lewis loved to sing and dance and was the life of the party. 

          He is survived by his mother, Celia Aguilar of Lufkin; father, Gonzalo Torres of Diboll; brother, Brandon Galindo of Lufkin; sister, Xandra Galindo of Diboll; brother, Eli G. Torres of Lufkin; brother, Gonzalo Torres of Lufkin; sister, Gina Torres of Eagle Pass, TX; brother, Gabriel Torres of Eagle Pass, TX; brother, Aaron Torres of Eagle Pass, TX; grandparents, Celia and Gumaro Mendoza of Lufkin; and grandmother, Rebecca Torres of Eagle Pass, TX; nephew, Kyler Payne of Diboll.

            Lewis was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Alfredo and Beatriz Padilla; and grandfather, Guadalupe Torres, Sr.

           Pallbearers will be Eli Torres, Brandon Galindo, Lewis Banuelos, Aiden Munoz, Jorge Estrada, Jr., Christian Mandujano, Gonzalo Torres, Alex Grimaldo, and K.P. Pantoja.

           Honorary pallbearer will be Jorge Estrada, Sr.

           Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home.  A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
