Lillian Doreen Weisinger Obituary

Mrs. Weisinger was born on February 2, 1933, in Burke, Texas, to the late Permeanous Jasper Massingill and Gladys Elaine (Whitehead) Massingill, and died Tuesday, July 2 , 2024, in Lufkin.

Lillian married Ralph Weisinger and they had 8 children which led to a very busy and full life. Lillian touched many people's lives, a person always felt like family in her presence. Her smile would light up the room with warmth and pure joy. Mom loved her family dearly. She was a prayer warrior for all the family and anyone that asked for prayer. When she was still driving she would go around and visit whoever she could. She loved to keep the roads hot, which was no surprise. Mom loved to tell stories of how she would race on the back roads when she was younger with her cousins. Although I do recall in her later years she pulled up to the redlight at 2-point beside me in her car, next thing I hear is mom revving her engine wanting to race me, once that light turned green she shot ahead of me to show she still had it, and she sure did. Mom loved a good cup of coffee to sit down with and watch good preaching such as Billy Graham and others. She also enjoyed watching movies with some of her favorite actors such as John Wayne, Chuck Norris, and Tom Selleck.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Regan of Lufkin, TX; son, Billy Weisinger and Gayla of Lufkin, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Wendy Weisinger of Monroe, WA; daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and James Watson of Diboll, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Roy Cox of Lufkin, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Wayne Roberson of Lufkin, TX; son, Edwin Weisinger of Tucson, AZ; brother and sister-in-law, Travis and Betty Massingill of Springtown, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Lois Ann Massingill of Weatherford, TX; sister, Ellen “Artie” Nixon of Fairview, TX; sister-in-law, Faith Massingill of Fairview, TX; sister-in-law, Sarah Massingill of Fairview, TX; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
