Linda Ruth (Flowers) Patton

               Funeral services for Linda Ruth (Flowers) Patton, 75, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Pastor Chris Mixon officiating. Interment will follow at Pollok Cemetery.

               Mrs. Patton was born November 1, 1950, in Conroe, Texas, the daughter of the late Carroll Flowers and Ruth (Beathard) Flowers, and died Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Lufkin.

              Linda was a welcoming person. All those around her could feel her welcoming spirit. A testament to her loving character is the fact that she never met a stranger. She thoroughly enjoyed arts and crafts it brought her great pleasure. In her free time, she loved to read and sing. 

             She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Chris Hutson of Lufkin; son, Darrell Patton of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Raymond Johnson of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Brittney and Damon Malnar of Lufkin; grandson, Hunter Hutson of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Roper and Destiney Johnson of Huntington; granddaughter and husband, Morgan and Nathan Snowden of Lufkin; granddaughter, Harlie Patton of Nacogdoches; granddaughter, Kaitlynn Johnson of Lufkin; granddaughter, Autumn Johnson of Huntington; granddaughter, Naomi Patton of Huntington; grandsons, Scooter Malnar and Lane Malnar, both of Lufkin; great-grandson, Rhett Luther of Huntington; great-granddaughter, Hadley Bynog of Lufkin; great-grandson, Hayden Patton of Nacogdoches; great-granddaughter, Zarah Luther of Lufkin; and great-granddaughter, Anna Johnson of Huntington; great-grandson, Eli Edwards of Lufkin; great-granddaughter, Gracelynn Johnson of Huntington; great-grandson, Kieth Edwards of Lufkin; great-granddaughter, Elizah Jones of Nacogdoches; great-grandson, Willie Johnson of Huntington; great-grandson, Kayden Jones of Nacogdoches; and great-grandson, Jayden Jones of Nacogdoches; sister, Dorothy Yorek of New Waverly, Texas; sister, Julia Pavelock of New Waverly, Texas; sister, Barbara Henderson of Lufkin; sister Susan Mills of Lufkin; and sister, Sharon Adams of Pollok, Texas.

             Mrs. Patton was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Patton; parents; sister, Mary Havard; brothers Billy Flowers, William Flowers and Danny Flowers; nephews, Christopher Grimes, Steven Yorek, and Jamie Moreland.         

            Pallbearers will be Hunter Hutson, Roper Johnson, Josh Havard, Bobby Malnar, Lane Malnar, and Thomas Massey.

            Honorary pallbearers will be Rhett Luther, Eli Edwards, Keith Edwards, and Hayden Patton.

           Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
