Lois Stegall

          Funeral services for Lois Stegall, 83, of Nacogdoches, will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. W. Dee Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Nacogdoches.

          Mrs. Stegall was born on May 23, 1940, in Houston, Texas, to the late James Hagerman and Metta Louise (Herrington) Hagerman, and died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Nacogdoches.

          Mrs. Stegall was a member of Martinsville Baptist Church and loved her church family very much. She enjoyed gardening and her favorite flowers were roses. Above all, Mrs. Stegall loved her family. 

          She is survived by her grandson, Troy Stegall, Jr. and wife Alexia of Nacogdoches; and great-grandson, Troy Stegall III.

          Mrs. Stegall was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W.C. “Sonny” Stegall; son, Troy Stegall, Sr.; and sisters, Betty Wiseman and Barbara Bratcher.

          Pallbearers will be Troy Stegall, Alec Fawvor, Tyler Johnson, Robert Busbee, Tyler Costello, and Steven Christopher.

          Honorary pallbearer will be William Schell.

          Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
