Mrs. Waggoner was born on September 24, 1935, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to  the late Weldon ”Joe” Alders and Ruby Gertrude (Duke) Alders, and died Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at her residence.

Loretta married the love of her life, the late Dell Waggoner Jr., on May 28, 1954.  They were married 59 years at the time of his death.  She dearly loved her family and embraced life to the fullest.  She invested in the lives of her family and friends while creating lasting and special memories.  She wanted her faith to live through future generations and was fully committed to providing Children’s Bibles for each addition to her extended family.  Her prayers for her family and friends are on record before God and will continue to bless the lives of those whom she loved.

She loved to cook and entertain and was always the life of the party.  She enjoyed working in the yard and had a gift for growing beautiful azaleas and camelias.  These flowers graced the tables of many friends throughout the years as she was always gracious in sharing God’s handiwork with others.

She was a faithful and devoted member of New Life Christian Fellowship in Nacogdoches.  She loved her church and was a beautiful example of unwavering faith and prayer.  She leaves a legacy of love, generosity, and kindness.  She touched many lives and will be sorely missed.

Mrs. Waggoner is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Kay Waggoner of Colleyville, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Teresa Waggoner of Pollok, TX; grandson, Damon Waggoner of Lakewood, CO; grandson, Jeremiah Henry and wife Jessica of Lufkin, TX; granddaughter, Jenae Mecham and husband Michael of Lufkin, TX; brother, Nolan Alders and wife Virginia of Nacogdoches, TX; sister, Bonnie Johnson of Nacogdoches, TX; brother, Buddy Alders and wife Paula of Midway, TX; along with numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
