Lou Whiddon Obituary

          Lou Whiddon, 82, of Lufkin, was born on July 28, 1943, in Pampa, Texas, the daughter of the late Pearl (White) and Randy Riggs.  She passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Lufkin, Texas.


          Lou graduated from Dumas High School in 1961 and attended Frank Phillips Junior College in Borger, Texas. She married Robert S. Whiddon in 1964.


          Lou loved her family’s cabin in New Mexico that she helped her father build and she adored animals. Whether painting portraits, decorating cakes, or making old things new again, she created magic with her hands.


          She survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Tifini Whiddon and Bud Armstrong of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Nathan and Raeann Armstrong of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Kurt and Lindzey Armstrong of Puyallup, Washington; sister, Maxine “Sissy” Little of Okarche, OK; childhood friend, Loretta Kreiger; and her two dogs, Taz and Roxy, that gave her great joy.


           She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Robert S. Whiddon; and best friends, Maureen Glover and Margie Tomez.
