Lucy Rosales

          Funeral services for Lucy Rosales, 56, of Diboll, will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Lufkin with Pastor Ricardo Coss officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Haven Cemetery in Diboll TX.

          Mrs. Rosales was born on September 14, 1967, in Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico  to the late Rogaciano Sarmiento and Francisca Luna Sarmiento, and died Monday, April 1, 2024, in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Rosales was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was one of the most giving, helpful, and positive people you would ever meet. She loved and treated everyone like family.  Mrs. Rosales spent her time being a positive impact on her community and family. She taught English classes to community members. She enjoyed life and was a very happy person. She loved singing, dancing, and cooking. Mrs. Rosales was a role model to everyone that she was around. Above all, Mrs. Rosales loved her family and made time to visit them regardless of distance.   

          She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jesus Rosales of Diboll; son, Gilberto Rosales of Houston, TX; son, Marco Antonio Rosales of Austin, TX; brother and wife, Antonio and Guadalupe Sarmiento of San Antonio, TX; sister and husband, Abelina and Miguel Molina of Humble, TX; sister and husband, Guadalupe and Ruben Terrazas of Diboll; sister and husband; Hermelinda and Antonio Santana of Lufkin; along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her parents, Rogaciano Sarmiento and Francisca Luna Sarmiento. 

          Pallbearers will be Gilberto Rosales, Marco Antonio Rosales, Adrian Olavide, Juan Ruben Terrazas, Miguel Molina Jr., Fabian Reyes, Moises Sarmiento, Emiliano Sarmiento.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Salvador Luna, Santos Luna, Manuel Luna.

          Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, at Southside Baptist Church, 1615 Tulane Dr Lufkin TX, 75901.
