Marian LaNelle Sheffield, 86, of Huntington, was born on May 25, 1939, in Angelina County, Texas, to the late Woodrow Franklin Williams and Doris (Hudnall) Williams, and died Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at her residence.

          Marian would probably tell you that her greatest accomplishment was her family. She was a devoted wife, who married C.L. on December 21, 1956. Marian was also a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

          She enjoyed the outdoors and was especially fond of hunting. Marian was known for her spot-on aim and rarely missing “the big buck”. During the off season she loved to watch the deer from her front porch and pick out which ones would be in the crosshairs next season.

          Marian was the “go to” person with her extensive knowledge of parts and plumbing that she acquired in her years at Western Auto and Boots Hardware.

          She is survived by her son, Gary Sheffield of Huntington; daughter, Regina Sheffield of Lufkin; son, Lamar Sheffield and wife Deanna of Huntington; daughter, Gladney Decker of Lufkin; brother, Frank Williams and wife Jennifer of Huntington; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

           She was preceded in death by her parents; Woodrow and Doris Williams; husband, C.L. Sheffield; and daughter, Gaylene Sheffield.
