Martha Sutton , 82, of Ontario Canada, was born May 13, 1940, in Toronto, Canada, to the late Robert Leonard Croome and Lorene (Davidson) Croome, and died Saturday, November 5, 2022, in Lufkin, Texas.
Martha was very proud of her United States citizenship that she obtained after moving from Canada. She authored a novel about her experiences of moving to Texas. She loved dogs and was active in dog shows in Canada. She was an avid scrapbooker. She was a member of Angel of Joy Lutheran Church and in more recent years a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughter and wife, Cynthia Sutton and Carolyn Waddell and their children Keri, David, and Michael all of Ankeny, IA; granddaughter and husband, Krista and Gabriel Mendez and their children Ava, Milo, and Max all of Lufkin, TX; granddaughter, Meghan Sutton and her children Isaiah and Noah all of Boulder, CO; grandson, David Sutton of Brooklyn, NY; and step-daughter-in-law, Juanda Morgan of Lufkin, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Sutton; parents; and step-son, Mark Sutton.
