Mary (Flowers) Havard

         Funeral services for Mary (Flowers) Havard, 70, of Huntington, will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Marlow Shubert officiating. Interment will follow at Wallace Chapel Cemetery in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Havard was born on December 18, 1952, in Willis, Texas, to Carroll Flowers and Ruth (Beathard) Flowers, and died Sunday, November 26, 2023, in Branson, Missouri.

          Mrs. Havard loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and always put others before herself. Her hobbies were sewing, reading, and taking trips with her family.

          Mrs. Havard is survived by her son, Josh and wife Suhey; daughter, Sassy Platt and husband Ryan; grandchildren, Kayde Platt, Landen Platt, Emma Havard, Westen Platt, Bella Lail, Kylie Havard, Katherine Martinez, Caleb Havard, and Kora Platt; sister, Dorthy York and husband Phillip of New Waverly; sister, Julia Pavelock of New Waverly; sister, Barbara Henderson of Lufkin; sister, Linda Patton of Lufkin; sister, Susan Mills of Lufkin; sister, Sharon Adams of Lufkin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Garland Havard; son, Travis Havard; and brothers, Billy Flowers, William Flowers, Jerry Flowers, and Danny Flowers.

          Pallbearers will be Mark Bailey, Cody Adams, Wyatt Loveday, Cristian Hernandez, and Jonathan Hernandez.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Landen Platt, Westen Platt, and Caleb Havard.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
