Memorial Services for Mary Gay Reeves, 65, of Lufkin, Texas, will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Still Waters Cowboy Church in Huntington, Texas.

          Mrs. Reeves was born on October 25, 1960, in Livingston, Texas, to Billy Maness and Mary (Wagone) Maness, and died Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Lufkin.

          Mary found true peace in nature, embracing every opportunity to cast a line into the water and spend her days under the open sky. An active, passionate, and proud supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, she lived her truth through relationships. Above all, her deepest joy and proudest achievements came from her family; her love for her children and grandchildren was deep and she will live on in their hearts.

          She is survived by her son Jerry Wayne; daughter, Karen Reeves; son, Billy Ray Anthony; grandchildren, Dillon and Katelynn Glawson, Dakota and Megan Reeves, Destiny Reeves, Jesse Waldrep, Cristy Havard, Isaiah, Brylee Anthony, and Shelby Anthony; great-grandchildren, Paizlee Glawson, Bentley Glawson, Huxley Glawson, Gymma Reeves, Haven Reeves, and Ella Womack; brother, Ronny Maness; and prior significant other, Donna Smith.

          Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Maness and Mary (Wagone) Maness; daughter, Cristal Sullivan; grandson, Derek Reeves; granddaughter, Nikkie Reeves; brother, James Maness; brother, Benny Maness; and sister, Tina Fondren.
