A Mass of Christian Burial for Matilde Del Toro, 60, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Lufkin with Father, Joby Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.

          Ms. Del Toro was born on November 14, 1965, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Ismael Del Toro  and Ana (Herrera) Del Toro, and died December 1, 2025, in Lufkin.

          Ms. Del Toro enjoyed spending her time playing bingo and dominos with her dad. She was a dedicated employee who cherished her work and loved her family dearly. 

          She is survived by her son, Guadalupe Torres, Jr. of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Alberto and Sandy Torres of Lufkin, daughter, Mariana Torres of Lufkin, 8 grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ramiro and Maria Del Toro of Frankfort, Indiana; brother and sister-in- law, Santos and Dalia Del Toro of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Mario and Maria Del Toro of Lufkin; sister, Laura Del Toro of Lufkin; father, Ismael Del Toro; stepmother, Rosa Del Toro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her mother, Ana (Herrera) Del Toro; brother, Markus Del Toro; and brother, Ismael Del Toro, II.

          Pallbearers will be Mario Del Toro II, Alex Marines, Santos Del Toro, Jr., Ismael Del Toro III, Ruben Del Toro, and Adrian Marines.

          Honorary Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Torres III, Fabian Torres, and Alberto Torres, Jr.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2025, at Shafer           Funeral Home in Lufkin. A Rosary will be recited by Maria Alvarez at 7:00 p.m.
