Melba Ruth Kimberlin

        Graveside services for ­Melba Ruth Kimberlin, 88, of Zavalla, will be held Monday, May 23, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Concord Cemetery in Zavalla with Bro. Albert Henserling officiating.

          Mrs. Kimberlin was born May 16, 1934, in Fletcher, Oklahoma, to Dolph Harrison Goodin and Nellie Mae (Wilkerson) Goodin, and died May 19, 2022, in Beaumont, Texas.

          Mrs. Kimberlin was a good wife, mother and friend. She loved her sons and grandchildren most of all. She was a hard worker, respected by many. She loved her baby dogs and enjoyed going to the casino. She lived a wonderful life.

         She is survived by her husband, James J. Kimberlin of Zavalla, Texas; son, James Butler and wife, Donna of Dierks of Arkansas; son, Wayne Butler and wife, Debbie of Sour Lake, Texas; grandchildren, Jeff Butler, Josh Butler, Jodie Butler, Jamie Darling and Jilli Butler; great-grandchildren, Dakota Butler, Daiton Butler, Kaylee Butler Rehbach, Taylor Darling, Justin Butler, and Tyler Butler.

          She was preceded in death by her parents: Dolph and Nellie Goodin; brothers: George, Glen, Wayne, and Roy; sisters; Nellie and twin sister, Ruby.

          Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
