Michael Wayne LaDuke

          The memorial service for Michael Wayne LaDuke, 65, of Fort Worth, Texas, will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Everman Baptist Church, followed by a Fellowship at Hickory Stick Bar-B-Q in Everman.

          Michael “Mike” was born on May 14, 1957, in Littlefield, Texas, to Max and Pat LaDuke, and passed away Friday, November 10, 2023.

          Mike lived a full life. Evidence of his life lives on in the memories and stories he’s shared with everyone he’s ever met. Mike never met a stranger, striking up a conversation with anyone within earshot came natural to him. Immediately following high school graduation, Mike began his journey of becoming a Fort Worth firefighter following in the footsteps of his father. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, with everything he had. He loved being the reason they laughed, and he loved creating moments of ‘awe and wonder.’ 

          Michael “Mike” LaDuke is survived by his mother, Pat LaDuke of Fort Worth, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Marci and Mark Jones of Everman, TX; children, daughter, Sarah LaDuke of Lufkin, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Sabrina and Kyle Sutherland of Lufkin, TX; son, Douglas LaDuke of Fort Worth, TX; honorary daughter, Jennifer Santoyo of Joshua, TX; grandchildren, Brooklyn Sutherland, Emily Sutherland, and Max Sutherland; honorary grandchildren, Annalyn Santoyo, Lillian Santoyo, Maddox Santoyo, and Lyte Santoyo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

          He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon LaDuke; father, Max LaDuke; and brother, Douglas LaDuke.
