A Committal Service for Michael “Mike” Sucre was be held on March 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Sucre was born on June 12, 1956, in Caracas City, Venezuela, to Edgard Sucre and Ferndell (Killian) Sucre, and died Friday, February 20, 2026, in Galveston.
Mr. Sucre was a very family-oriented man who loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He also had a great passion for music. As a young man, he was a star tennis player on the Grapevine High School tennis team in Grapevine, Texas. Mike also proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Kelley of Lufkin; daughter, Sarah McGlothlin of Ft. Worth; granddaughter and husband, Hannah and Joey Addison of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Craig and Sydney Carnes of Lufkin; granddaughter, Ella Littlefield of Haslet, Texas; grandson, Zach McGlothlin of Keller, Texas; grandson, Travis Schober of Haslet; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Angie Sucre of Keller; brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Diane Stachowiak of Alvord, Texas; sister, Mary Ann Kingey of Florida; niece and husband, Shannon and Shawn Sucre of Ponder, Texas; nephew, Adam Stachowiak of Gainsville, Texas; nephew and wife, Dustin and Shayna Stachowiak of Alvord; nephew, Jared Sucre of Keller; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
