Miguel Acosta

         Rosary  for Miguel Acosta, 60, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.

          Mr. Acosta was born September 29, 1961, in Durango, Mexico, to Lamberto Acosta and Rafaela Acosta, and died Sunday, October 24, 2021, in Lufkin.

          Mr. Acosta was a hard working roofer who loved his family.  He spent many of his earlier years in California.  He loved to cook and was a huge Los Angeles Dodgers fan.

         He is survived by his mother, Rafaela Acosta; sister and brother-in-law, Raquel and Jose A. Vargas; sister and brother-in-law, Martina and Jose Urenda; sister and brother-in-law, Gricelda and Alfredo Padilla; brother, Lamberto Acosta Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Lourdes and Abel Vargas; sister and brother-in-law, Lupita and Joe Rojas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

          He was preceded in death by his father, Lamberto Acosta

          Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
