Funeral services for Nathan Cannon, 41, of Pollok, will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Pastor Roger Justus officiating.

Nathan was born on April 8, 1985, in Lufkin, Texas, to Leland and Linda Cannon, and died Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Lufkin.

Nathan was a family man who loved spending time with his wife and children. He especially enjoyed playing video games with his kids. Nathan liked to fish, cook, and spend time outdoors. He worked as a tree cutter and loved his job.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Cynthia Delynn Cannon of Pollok; son, Eric Cannon of Pollok; son, Zackery Cannon of Pollok; daughter, Angelle Teets of Missouri; son, Brandon Cotten of Missouri; son, Isaac Cotten of Missouri; daughter, Emily Cotten of Missouri; grandchildren; parents, Leland and Linda Cannon of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and Daniel Justus of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Brittney Cannon of Lufkin; uncle, Loyd Parrott of Hudson; aunt, Linda Summers of Houston; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Auby Lester “Papaw” Cannon, Jr.; grandmother, Mary Estell Parrott; uncle, Darryl Parrott; and nephew, Triston Justus.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Malnar, Eric Cannon, Zackery Cannon, Michael Transam, Lewis Downs, and Zachary Wallace.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, prior to the memorial service.
