Private services will be held for Perry Randel McKnight. Mr. McKnight was born on May 3, 1950, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Ramsey Francis McKnight and Gladys Marie (Newland) McKnight, and passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at his residence.

          He was married to Betty Jean Quine for almost 59 years at the time of his passing. He was a 1968 graduate of Wells High School where he lived all his life. He began work at Lufkin Industries in June of 1968 and retired from there on December 31, 2012, as a Fabrication Supervisor. He believed in Jesus Christ and prayed daily. He shined the Lord’s light to everyone he met. His wife, children and grandchildren were the loves of his life.

          He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean McKnight of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Bart Sherrer of Jefferson, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Tina McKnight of Yigo, Guam; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Paul Allen of Bullard, Texas; daughter-in-law, LaVonuna McKnight of Wells, Texas; grandson, Kevin Lee Dew of Bossier, Louisiana; grandson, Cody McKnight of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Daniel and Chelle Sherrer of Texarkana, Texas; grandson, Kody Sherrer of Zavalla, Texas; granddaughter, Lilly McKnight of Wells; great-granddaughter, Greenly McKnight; great-grandson, Triton McKnight; sister, Jeannie Fuller of Highlands, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Richard Martinez of Spring, Texas; brother-in-law and wife, David and Deloris Quine; brother-in-law and wife, Dale and Connie Quine; and numerous other family and friends.

          Mr. McKnight was preceded in death by his parents; his youngest son, Phillip McKnight; and brother, Donnie McKnight.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Allen, Bart Sherrer, Kevin Lee Dew, Cody McKnight, Kody Sherrer, Daniel Sherrer, Jamie McKnight, Charles Fuller, and John Quine.
