Raniece (Adams) Isenberg Obituary

Funeral services for Raniece (Adams) Isenberg, 58, of Huntington, will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Pastor Ben Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Fielder Cemetery.

Raniece was born on June 11, 1967, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to the late Roger “Grizzly” Adams and Sharon Linda (Buck) Adams, and died Monday, December 15, 2025, in Kingwood, Texas.

Raniece was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She loved to sing and had a wonderful singing voice, often compared to Patsy Cline. Raniece loved sharing her voice at her church. She was co-owner of Signs By Grizzly, home of the original Panther “L”, which started in 1980. She and her husband bought a house on Sam Rayburn Lake because of her passion for fishing. She absolutely loved spending entire days catching catfish at the lake with her husband. Raniece was a deeply caring person who would help anyone in need and expected nothing in return.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Michael Isenberg of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law Tracie Weigart-Hearne and Clifton Hearne of Wells; son, Richard Allin Isenberg of Huntington; granddaughter, Carmen Perez of Wells; granddaughter, Julieann Weigart of Wells; mother and stepfather, Sharon Adams-Palomo and Richard Palomo of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Barbara Adams of Wichita, KS; brother and brother-in-law, Stacy Adams and Nate Billy of Bellingham, WA; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Raniece was preceded in death by her father, Roger “Grizzly” Adams; grandfather, Lawrence Buck; and  grandmothers, Frieda Adams and Ruby Ackley.

Pallbearers will be Harold Grimes, Henry Wright, Colton Merritt, Richard Davis, Regan Ratliff, and Kenneth Bradberry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Elton Musick, John Marshall, Leonard Peterson, and Bo Pate.

Special memorials may be made to The Joseph House, P.O. Box 150554 Lufkin, Texas 75915.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, prior to the funeral service.
