Funeral services for Rebecca “Becky” Ann Duncan, 74, of Apple Springs, will be held Monday, November 6, 2023, at 12:00 Noon at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro . John Smith and Bro. James Whittlesey officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Trinity County.
Mrs. Duncan was born December 13, 1948, in Kennard, Texas, to the late Woodrow Wilson Harrison and Helen Marie (Harrison) Harrison, and died Friday, November 3, 2023, at her residence.
Mrs. Duncan was a member of My Father’s House and had a loving church family at Calvary Baptist Church in Nogalus Prairie. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Duncan was very talented in crafting. She loved to make jewelry and to cook.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by her husband of 56 years, Henry Earl Duncan of Apple Springs, TX; daughter, Leisa Marie Rogers of Apple Springs, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Genni Rebecca and Troy Dale Kelso of Pottsboro, TX; grandchildren, Ashley Laurenti, Michael Rogers and wife Chelsea, Darvin Rogers and wife Ariel, Kortney Crosby and husband Ryan, Kristina Edwards and husband Nick, and Kyndal Kelso; great-grandchildren, Roman Laurenti, Timber Rogers, Henry Rogers, Brylee Woychesin, and soon-to-be, Wren Crosby; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Gordon Cole; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie Boyer and Darrell; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Debbie Harrison; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Betty Harrison; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jim Tom Harrison, and David “Sonny” Harrison; and sisters, Judy Hamiton, and Joan Oliver.
Pallbearers will be Keith Best, Jason Cole, Greg Harrison, Chris Duncan, Dwayne Hamilton, and Mark Brewster.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Thompson and John Duncan.
Special memorials may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Ave., Lufkin, Texas 75904.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, prior to the funeral service.
