Regina "Gina" Sue Tullos

          Funeral services for ­Regina “Gina” Sue Tullos, 64, of Apple Springs, will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, with Ty Phillips officiating.  Private interment will be held with family.

          Mrs. Tullos was born October 14, 1957, in Lufkin, Texas, to Daniel Merritt Ivy and Barbara Ann (Westbrook) Ivy, and died Friday, November 26, 2021, in Lufkin.

          Gina was a beautician in both Lufkin and Apple Springs. She was a nurturing mother and mamaw, and she loved to laugh. She always had a smile for those around her. She was an amazing cook and took great pleasure in teaching her grandchildren her skill in the kitchen. She taught Zoey how to cook biscuits and Katie how to fry shrimp. Of course, no grandchild could leave her home without chocolate chips.

          She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Danny Tullos of Apple Springs, TX; daughter and son-in-law, April and Mike Davis of Apple Springs, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Daniel McSwain of Apple Springs, TX; grandchildren, Katie Davis, Max Davis, Blaize McSwain, Zoey McSwain, Timber McSwain, and Brigham McSwain; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Jan Ivy of Nacogdoches, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Lawana and Rick Parks of Jasper, TX; brother, David Ivy of Nacogdoches, TX; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Stacy and Scott Brister of Apple Springs, TX; special friend, Marla King of Apple Springs, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

           She was preceded in death by her parents.

          Pallbearers will be Danny Tullos, Kevin Tullos, Daniel McSwain, Mike Davis, Kyle Brister, Matthew Ivy, and Travis King.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 29, 2021, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
