Ricardo Reyes Jr.

           Funeral services for Ricardo Reyes Jr.,32, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Rev. Marcos Elizondo officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Haven Cemetery in Diboll.

           Mr. Reyes was born on January 18, 1991, in Lufkin, Texas, to  Ricardo Reyes Sr. and the late Maria Esther Villalobos, and died Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in Nacogdoches County.

          Ricky was a protector who loved his family, he would do absolutely anything for them. He was a prankster and loved to joke around and make others laugh. He was always one call away for anything.

          He is survived by his daughter, Destiny Reyes of San Antonio TX; father Ricardo Reyes Sr. of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Reyna and Josh Lewis of Pollok TX; brother, Miguel Gonzalez of Lufkin; brother, Nikolas Reyes of Lufkin; sister, Jennifer Venegas of Lufkin; step-mom, Chasity Bailey of Lufkin; girlfriend, Sara Gamboa of Lufkin; and the extended  Reyes and Cantu family.

          Mr.Reyes was preceded in death by his mother Maria E. Villalobos; grandmother, Maria Antonia Reyes; Cousin William Shea Holeman; and second mother Rosa Penick.

          Pallbearers will be Miguel Gonzalez, Nikolas Reyes, Vinnie Cantu, Daniel Holeman, George Cantu, Robert Tamez and Suzy Reyes.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Jessie Lopez Jr. and Darien Hunt.

          Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Shafer Funeral Home.
