Graveside services for Richard “Beagle” Alan Andrews, 56 of Hudson, will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Largent Cemetery in Lufkin with Bro. Danny Russo officiating.
Mr. Andrews was born March 10, 1966, in Big Lake, Texas, to the late Oran Elton Andrews and Catherine Joan (Pfliederer) Andrews, and died Sunday, November 6, 2022, in Lufkin, Texas.
Richard loved to fish the Neches River and was an avid hunter. The beginning of November would find him in the woods in search of the big buck. He loved his family, and his grandchildren were precious to him.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Susan Andrews of Hudson, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Samantha Andrews of Spring Branch, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Dakota Powell of Hudson, TX; grandson, Gavin Andrews; granddaughter, Harper Andrews; grandson, Liam Andrews; brother and sister-in-law, Oran and Sandra Andrews of Lufkin, TX; sister, Debbie Maness of Lufkin, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Lily and Charles McAlister of Hudson, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ellen and Joe Lynn Musick of Ratcliff, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Monica and Roger Parks of Kennard, TX; brother, Doug Andrews of Fred, TX; and a number of nieces and nephews, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Allan and Kathy Hunt; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pam and Willie Thomas of Hudson, TX; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenny and Tammy Hunt of Wells, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Thomas, Willie Thomas, Brian Burgess, Kenny Hunt, Charles McAlister, and Mikey McDonald.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Boyd, Dwayne “Rooter” Reece, William Hunt, Conner Hunt, Carson Hunt, Dakota Powell, Kaden Frechette, Jo Lynn Musick, Roger Parks, Denny Kio, Tommy Cunningham, Steven Rector, Larry Joe Watson, Haley Jo Thomas, and Philip Glawson.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Shafer Funeral Home.
