Memorial Services for Mr. Robert Wayne Yarbrough, 67, of Pollok, Texas, will be held Friday, October 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas.

Mr. Robert Wayne Yarbrough was born on January 14, 1959, in Jasper, Texas, to the late Elton Yarbrough and the late Dimple Ruth (Childs) Yarbrough, and died Monday, September 28, 2026, in Pollok.

Robert lived a life filled with passion and had a competitive spirit. An avid outdoorsman, Robert was happiest with a fishing pole in hand or spending relaxing days listening to the waves at the beach. When he wasn't by the water, he could often be found enjoying a lively game of dominoes, cheering on his favorite football teams, or keeping up with the high-energy of WWE wrestling. Those who knew him best will fondly remember his sharp competitive edge—especially around the pool table, where he was famously cut-throat and always played to win. Robert's vibrant energy, love for his hobbies, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his sister, Helen Wells of Hudson, Texas; sister-in-law, Olene Yarbrough of Lufkin; brother-in-law, Milton Havard of Pollok; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommie Yarbrough; brother, Jimmy Dale Yarbrough; brother, Michael Yarbrough; sister, Pamela Yarbrough; and sister, Miranda Yarbrough Havard.
