A Visitation for Robert “Bert” Crane, Jr., 70, of Tyler, will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
Mr. Crane was born on April 26, 1955, to the late Robert Frank Crane, Sr. and Kathryne Lorraine (Floyd) Crane, and died Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in Tyler.
Mr. Crane was dedicated to his family, friends, and his work. He worked at Tyler Parks and Recreation and then worked for Danco. Mr. Crane also worked at Lincare for many years before his last job at Carter Blood Center. He loved going to the lake and was a member of The Tyler Yacht Club. He was a selfless man who had a calming presence and would help anyone in need.
Mr. Crane is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Crane Hunt and David Hunt of Sugar Land, TX; granddaughter, Anna Hunt of Sugar Land, TX; grandson, John Hunt of Sugar Land, TX; best and dear friend, Jaye Kissinger of Lufkin; along with the rest of the Kissinger Family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and the mother of his child, Sherry Kimbrow.
