Funeral services for Robert “Rob” Earl Boles II , 37, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home, in Lufkin, Texas, with Cody Inman and Joshua Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Berry Cemetery in Lufkin.

            Mr. Boles was born on March 4, 1989, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Robert Earl Boles and Darla Kay (Ward) Brunner, and died Monday, July 20, 2026, in Houston.

            Rob proudly served his country for four years in the U.S . Army and was deployed to Iraq. During his service, he was honored with many awards and commendations including the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, a National Defense Service Medal; a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, an Army Service Ribbon, an Oversees Service Ribbon, and a Driver and Mechanic Badge.

            Mr. Boles was honorably discharged from the army and stayed in contact with his Army buddies over the years. They would often get together to play D&D.

            After some time, he moved to Waco and worked at Sanderson Farms as a truck driver for over 10 years. He met a lot of his friends while working there. In his free time, he was an avid gamer and a huge WWE fan. Rob was a loving family man, and his family meant the world to him.

            He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Darla and Sam Brunner of Lufkin; sister, Rebecca Boles of Lufkin; aunt and uncle, Pam and Alton Inman of Lufkin; uncle, Jeff Ward of Tuscola, Texas; aunt, Velda Ward of Lufkin; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles; adopted mother and father, Gala and Charles Walker of Waco; and best friend and brother, Galan Cashaw of Waco.

           He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Clyde and Brooksie Boles; maternal grandparents, Monroe and Rebecca Ward; uncles, Gerald Ward, Paul Ward, Johnny Mack Ward, and David Skelton.

           Pallbearers will be Randall Ward, Timothy Johnson, Charles Brunner, Morgan Inman, Marshall Inman, Hayden Barley, and Steve Barley.
