Mass of Christian Burial for Roberto Juarez Mendoza, 64, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lufkin with Fr. Raymundo Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. Juarez was born January 28, 1954 in Mexico City, Mexico, the son of Roberto Juarez Vasquez and Anna Maria Mendoza Villeda, and died Monday, June 18, 2018 in Lufkin.
Mr. Juarez was a member, usher, and lectern leader at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lufkin. He loved spending time watching football and taking care of his garden, but most of all he loved serving his church.
Mr. Juarez is survived by his wife, Maria Adoracion Pina de Juarez; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Karina Juarez Pina and Efram Avila; son and daughter-in-law, Roberto Josue Juarez Pina and Elizabeth Juarez; son, Ulises Juarez Pina; granddaughters, Valeria Avila Juarez, Fernanda Avila Juarez, and Alejandra Juarez Vargas; grandsons, Roberto Josue Juarez Vargas, Sebastian Avila Juarez, and Emiliano Avila Juarez; sisters, Marina, Gloria, Maura, Alma, Lolita, and Anita Juarez M. and sister, Abigail Juarez G.; and brother, Salvador Juarez M. and Carlos Juarez G.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roberto Juarez Vazquez and Ana Maria Mendoza Villeda; and brother, Oscar Juarez Mendoza.
Pallbearers will be Roberto Juarez, Josue Juarez, Ulises Juarez, Luis Ortiz, Osvaldo Ortiz, Nick Ortiz, Jose Pina, and Carlos Garcia.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice in the Pines, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and to all the friends who have given love and support.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
