Roberto Pargas Rodriguez

          Funeral services for Roberto Pargas Rodriquez, 71, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Armando Vega officiating.

          Mr. Rodriguez was born February 7, 1951, in Piedras Negras, Mexico, to Roberto Rodriguez Romo Sr. and Emilia Valdez, and died Sunday, April 3, 2022, in Lufkin.

          Roberto loved music and working on puzzles. He loved his church family and worshipping with them.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

          He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Roberto Vega and Melanie Rodriguez of Atascocita, TX; son and girlfriend, Armando Vega and Melissa Clark of Atascocita, TX; son, Greg Vega Rodriguez of Atascocita, TX; son, Alex Vega Rodriguez of Atascocita, TX; son, Frank Daniel Rodriguez of Reno, NV; daughter and fiancé, Daniela Vega Rodriguez and Juan of San Antonio, TX; son, Alan Vega Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; his partner and caregiver, Beatriz Loya; five granddaughters; one grandson; one grandson on the way; mother, Emilia Valdez of Lufkin, TX; sister, Juanita Rodriguez Andrade of Piedras Negras, Mex.; brother and sister-in-law, Rolando and Alma Laura Rodriguez of Eagle Pass, TX; sister, Dora Rodriguez of Crosby, TX; sister, Gracie Mandujano of Lufkin, TX; sister and brother-in-law Emilia and Juan Garza of Lufkin, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Eva and John Fanning of Lufkin, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Maria Elena and Jesus Garza of San Antonio, TX; half brother and sister-in-law, Gerardo and Eunice Rodriguez of Georgia; half brother and sister-in-law, Arturo and Claudia Rodriguez of Lufkin, TX; half sister and brother-in-law, Leonor and Raul Ramirez of Lufkin, TX; close friend, Roberto Molina of Lufkin, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

          He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Rodriguez; stepmother, Oralia Rodriguez; grandson, Aiden Rodriguez; sister, Guadalupe Rivas; brother-in-law, Jesus Rivas; brother-in-law, Guillermo Andrade; and brother-in-law, Victor Mandujano

          Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Roberto Molina.
