Funeral services for Roger Wayne Wagnone 57, of Pollok, will be held Monday, September 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Brother Charlie Hodge officiating. Interment will follow at  Prairie Grove Cemetery in Diboll.

          Mr. Wagnone was born on May 21, 1967, in Oceanside , California , to Larry Gene Wagnone and Jenny Rae Ashley and died Thursday, September 26, 2024, in Lufkin.

          Roger passed surrounded by his loved ones. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and swimming. Mr. Wagnone favorite thing was to be involved with his family and friends. He was a very easy going person and loved attending his grandchildren and great grandchildren’s ballgames.    

          He is survived by his wife of 31 years Betty L. Miller; daughter and son-in-law, Hannah and Phillip Humphries of Zavalla; daughter, Felicia Havard; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jerry Wayne Reeves of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jeremy Unsell of San Antonio; dad and wife, Larry and Donna Wagnone; grandchildren, Dillon Glawson, Dakota Reeves, Destiny Reeves, Braden Trlica, Dakata Unsell, Cheyanne Sheffield, Lillian Sheffield, Jerry Sheffield, Molly Thompson, Harley Knupp, and Ashlynn Free; great-grandchildren, Paizlee Glawson, Bentley Glawson, Huxley Glawson, Jymma, Ella Womack Reeves, and Haevyn Reeves;  brother, Larry “Bubba” Wagnone; sister and husband, Lori Delayne and Kevin of Diboll; and sister and husband, Renee and Dennie Smith of Diboll.

         He was preceded in death by his mother, Jenny Rea Ashley Wagnone; grandparents, Roger and Veda Ashley; and granddaughter, Marry Nichole Reeves “Niki”.

         Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Reeves, Dillon Glawson, Dakata Reeves, Kevin Trlica, Braden Trlica, Phillip Humpries, Jeremy Unsell, and Dakata Unsell.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Larry “Bubba” Wagnone, Colby Cryer, Cecii Wayne Davis Jr., and Errol Collins.

          Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home.
