Funeral services for Ronnie Garcia, 71, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at The Foundry Assembly of God in Lufkin with Pastor Mike Fowler and Pastor Chris Rhodes officiating. Interment will be at Berry Cemetery in Lufkin.
Mr. Garcia was born on September 19, 1953, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Leonard Ray Garcia and Carmen Aline (Norton) Garcia, and died Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Lufkin.
Mr. Garcia served his country in the Army. He loved to be with his family and his church family where he was a very active member. Mr. Garcia served faithfully on the church board and was a Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, and washing the dishes. Mr. Garcia was a all around good man that would do anything for anyone. He married his high school sweetheart later in life and was married for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ann Garcia of Lufkin; daughter, Tonya Byington of Upperville, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Timfany Garcia of Huntington; and his chosen children, Tommy Joe and Carla Fountain of Desoto, TX, Ronnie Lynn Fountain of Lufkin, Matt Lawrence of Lufkin, Becky Lawrence and Bryan Moore of Lufkin; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Darlene Perez of Lufkin; brother, Glenn Garcia of Spring, TX; sister, Jennifer Garcia of Lufkin; and mother-in-law Delma Willis of Lufkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Carmen Garcia; chosen daughter, Joy Fountain; father-in-law, Wylie Willis; brother-in-law, Tony Willis; sister-in-law, Darlene Galindo; and son-in-law, Tony Byington.
Pallbearers Javier Martinez, William Crawford, Luis Perez, Tim Owens, Duane Gleis, Uriel Hernandez, Justin Carpenter, and Bubba Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Atteberry and Glenn Youngblood.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home.
