Funeral services for Rosa Maria Soto, 48, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Iglesia La Viña in Lufkin with Pastor Ricky Hernandez officiating. Interment will follow at Largent Cemetery in Lufkin.

          Rosy was born on November 19, 1977, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to the late Antonio Ozuna and the late Rosa Maria (Garcia) Ozuna, and died Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Houston.

          Rosy was a proud homemaker who loved to cook for her family. Her family always knew if she was making her very popular handmade flour tortillas if they came into the kitchen to find her sitting on a small chair in front of very tall table. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee and playing card games online. Rosy was a very sweet lady and a social butterfly who was always warm and friendly and was dearly loved by her family and friends from all over.  

          She is survived by her husband, Danilo Soto of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Maria and Jorge Fornace of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Jesus Antunez of Nacogdoches; sister and brother-in-law, Angelica and Guillermo Rubio of Lufkin; sister, Asusena Ramirez of Lufkin; and sister and brother-in-law, Julie Ozuna and Dario Garcia of San Antonio.

          Rosy was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Rosa Ozuna.

          Pallbearers will be Juan Pablo Isaac,  Rene Ramos, Jr., Guillermo Rubio, Jr., Tomas Damian Ramirez, Kevin Soto, and Angel Rubio.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Shafer Funeral Home.
