Funeral services for Rose (Savage) Pinner, 85, of Huntington, will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas with Brother Bobby Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Hill Cemetery in Huntington.

          Mrs. Pinner was born on March 9, 1941, in Tralee, Ireland, to the late James J. Savage and the late Mary Anne (Kennelly) Savage, and died April 27, 2026, in Huntington.

          Rose moved to the United States at age 14, but she always enjoyed traveling back to Ireland to visit with her family there. She loved to play bingo and cook delicious meals for her family. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and in her yard, and loved the company of friends, but most of all, she doted on her grandkids and great-grandkids and loved her family dearly. 

          She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mari and Jim Martin of Hurleyville, New York; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Theresa Angers of Hudson, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Darren Cook of Etoile, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Deidra and Scott Stanford of Huntington, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Cary Mack, Jr. and Stacy Pinner of Huntington, Texas; grandson, Brentley Hunt; granddaughter, Jade Green; grandson, Chance Johnson, granddaughter, Elle Stanford; grandson, Brendon Pinner; grandson, Braden Pinner; grandson, Risten Cook; granddaughter, Macie Cook; grandson, Kyle Rogers; grandson, Brady Rogers; granddaughter, Taylor Pope; granddaughter Kelsey Angers; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Scarlett, Jentry, Chesney, Charlie Rose, Hallie, Maddie, Baylor, Finley, and Bodhi; with numerous nieces and nephews; brother, Sean Savage of Dublin, Ireland; and sister, Maureen Hanna of Newry, Ireland.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cary Mack Pinner; sister, Anne Healy; sister, Noreen Savage; sister, Brideen Savage; brother, Seamus Savage; brother, Joseph Savage; grandson, Roland Pinner.

          The family offers their special thanks to Priscilla Johnson.

          Pallbearers will be Chance Johnson, Brendon Pinner, Braden Pinner, Brentley Hunt, Risten Cook, and Robert Pope.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Rogers and Brady Rogers.
