Sam Daleo Jr., 82 of Lufkin passed away peacefully at his residence and went to live in his heavenly home on Saturday, March 21, 2020.
Sam was born in Houston, Texas on November 14, 1937, son of the late Sam Daleo Sr. and Gladys May (Wallace) Daleo. Sam grew up and spent his early years in Houston, Texas. He was a resident of Lufkin for the last 40 years. While Sam never married, he was very loved by his brother, sister-in-law, nieces and nephew. He enjoyed simple things like being outside, setting on the porch observing people and listening to music. His individuality, formidable spirit and vibrant personality helped him win the hearts of family and friends. Raised in the Catholic faith, he attended church whenever he could.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lawless William Benjamin Jameson, sister-in-law, Doris Mae Jameson and nephew, Steve William Jameson. Left to mourn his passing are his nieces, Serita Evelyn Kennedy and husband William of Cypress, Texas, Judy Ann Gerst and husband Thomas of Canyon Lake, Texas.
Private family services will be planned for a later date.
Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, Texas
