Santiago Villegas

         Funeral services for Santiago Villegas, infant son of Samuel Villegas, Jr. and Lucia Escalante of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Whitehouse Cemetery in Lufkin with Decan Gary Trevino officiating.

         Santiago was born and died on October 10, 2023, in Houston, Texas.

          He is survived by his mother, Lucia Escalante; father, Samuel Villegas, Jr.; sister, Sophia Villegas; grandma and grandpa, Maria Escalante and Javier Escalante; grandma and grandpa, Silvia Villegas and Samuel Villegas, Sr.; uncle and aunt, Javier Escalante, Jr. and Ashley Escalante; uncle, Christian Escalante; aunt, Maria C Reyes; aunt Lorena Villegas; and aunt, Melissa Villegas all of Lufkin. 

          Pallbearers will be Samuel Villegas, Jr., Javier Escalante, and Samuel Villegas, Sr.

          Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, prior to the graveside service.
