Shanda Renee Wooten Pierce

          Memorial celebration for Shanda Renee (Wooten) Pierce is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 24th, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at Lancewood Baptist Church, located at 2535 Bethlehem Rd with Brother James Wagstaff officiating .                                                                   

          Shanda was delivered to this life on January 21, 1975, in Lufkin, Texas, to Edwin and Nelda Wooten. On Monday August 14, 2023, Shanda’s spirit was released, and reunited with numerous loved ones, awaiting her arrival.

          She was one of a kind, free spirit, full of love and life. She lived to the fullest though she left to soon. Lover of animals, she embraced nature, love and beauty in and of all things.

          She is remembered and missed by her husband, Stephen Pierce; daughter and son-in-law, Rivers Allen and Ricky Ford; mother, Nelda Rawls; sisters, Amanda Harris and Ashley Rawls; Grandma, Rose Allen; stepfather, David Allen ‘’Dad’’; grandparents, Vollie “Pawpaw” and Mozelle “Memaw” Futch; aunts, Linda Sullivan, Wanda Futch, and Lisa Johnson; uncles, Brian Futch, Allen Kieth Futch, Kenneth Wooten, and Lawson Wooten; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

          Shanda’s spirit was greeted by her father, Edwin Wooten; brothers, Eric Wooten and Ronnie Wooten; God parents Harry and Donna McRae; Grandparents, James Allen “Papa”; Clarence and Lila Pyle; and numerous friends and beloved individuals that all had special places in her heart.
