Ms. Shelley Hamblen Musgrave was born on August 27, 1951, in Cleveland, Texas, to the late Lawrence Guyler Hamblen and the late Virginia Louise McClanahan Hamblen, and died Friday, September 11, 2026, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

          Shelley left behind a legacy as beautifully tended as her beloved flower and vegetable gardens. A woman of diverse passions, she filled her home with the comforting aroma of fresh baking and the soulful notes of her piano playing, while finding joy and community in NIA dance . In her free time, she loved to travel, with a special interest in the lush landscapes of Costa Rica. She was devoted to her family and will be dearly missed.

          She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Douglas Bruce Musgrave of Nacogdoches; son, Skye Colin Musgrave of Nacogdoches; sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca Hamblen Drapak and Mark Drapak of Kingwood, Texas; and many friends, family members and in-laws.

          Ms. Musgrave was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Larry Hamblen.
