Celebration of life for Steve Redd, 71, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Kurth Lake Lodge in Lufkin.
Steve Redd, 71, of Lufkin, was born on January 1, 1954, in Lufkin, Texas, to Vollie Redd and Gertie Redd, and died Monday, June 9, 2025, in Lufkin. He lost his battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loved ones.
Mr. Redd enjoyed working with his hands and was great at crafts, sewing, and woodworking. He loved to spend time outdoors with his family grilling and cooking. If Mr. Redd was watching TV it was often a western movie by John Wayne of Clint Eastwood.
He is survived by his daughter and husband, Julie Morton and Steve Page of Lufkin; son and wife, Gary and Kirsten Redd of Central; grandchildren, Casey Morton, Lauren Paulsey, Shelbie Paulsey, Rylan Redd, Ashtyn Redd, and Carson Redd; great-grandchildren, Bentlee Paulsey, Rayburn Redd, Coy Redd, Maelee Redd, and Oaklyhn Redd; brothers, Ronald Redd, Lonnie Redd, Michael Redd, and JR Redd; sisters, Janet Hibert, Tammie Mahar, and Pat Lowery, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
