Graveside services for Sue Bowman, 81, of Pollok, will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Gann Cemetery in Brother Keith Bickley officiating.

          Mrs. Bowman was born on March 8, 1945, in Houston, Texas, to the late T.W. Whitfield and the late Verma Allie (Burris) Whitfield, and died on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in Lufkin, Texas.

          Sue was a hard worker who had many jobs throughout her career. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing and camping. One of her favorite things was big family birthday parties or other gatherings, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. She admired Dylan’s cooking and always had a good time singing Karaoke, and she found great pleasure in watching her grandchildren line dance. She dearly loved her family, children, grandchildren, and her church family.

          She is survived by her daughter, Linda Dorcz of Pollok; son, Jerry Jones of Pollok; son and daughter-in-law, Derrick and Jessica Bowman of Pollok; stepson, Michael Richardson of Broaddus, Texas; stepson, Marvin Bowman of Lufkin; stepson, Rolland “Grasshopper” Wynn of Stonewall, Louisiana; grandson, Jeremy Jones; grandson, Colton Jones; granddaughter, Kimberly Braud; granddaughter, Nicole Bowman; grandson, Cullen Bowman; granddaughter, Faith Bowman; granddaughter, Averly Bowman, and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

          Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rolland “Shorty” Bowman; and grandson, Dustin “Dusty” Dorcz.

          Pallbearers will be Dylan Nichols, Marvin Bowman, Danny Mullins, Jeremy Jones, Jerry Jones, and Michael Richardson.
